A Love Letter

I love you! The day you came into my life, I had no idea where our friendship, relationship, and love would go.

Here we are more in like than ever; Yes, I said like because you must like someone before you can love them.

Our journey has been a unique one, filled with laughter, tears, kisses, love, sadness, happiness, misunderstanding to understanding, moments of silence, to moments of “ let’s talk all night.”

I never thought in a million years that I would finally be in this space at this time, praying day and night for you.

For the past year, I have had the opportunity to know what makes you tick, what you are passionate about, what makes you cry, what makes you, YOU, and what makes me love you, and for the first time in my life, I have even gotten to know my soul and heart.

And what is so fascinating is you are easy to love, so why did we make it so complicated at times by “overthinking.”

I must be willing to accept all of you, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I learned your love language; you want to be understood, heard, held, supported and, respected.

A language I promise to honor and protect with all my being. You know the person God created. God has been preparing me for all my life. He knew this was the right time to meet and build our life together.

I promise you I will continue to learn your language and how to love you the way you have always wanted to be loved.
